De Witte Leeu is located in the Museum Quarter and surrounded by a wide range of shops, museums, bars and restaurants. Utrecht Central Station is a mere 10 minutes’ walk. Bus number 2 takes you there even faster; it’s a three-minute walk to the stop from your door. Restaurants, pubs, cinemas and theatres, shops, chain stores, grand cafés and coffee bars; in the Museum Quarter there’s something for everyone, every budget and every taste.

Utrecht has museums and galleries galore. Utrecht Centraal Museum with art, design and fashion.  The Catharijne Convent is the national museum of religious art. There’s one museum that will make everyone’s heart sing: the Museum Speelklok (musical clock) houses a collection of music boxes great and small, from musical clocks and pianolas to typical Dutch street organs.

For even more authentic Utrecht experience we recommend riding a bicycle along the Kromme Rijn to the historic Amelisweerd Estate. Alternatively, you can rent a canoe or a “fluisterbootje”(electric boat) for a leisurely trip down the canal to the rivers Vecht and Kromme Rijn.
